I cannot express enough of the joy that is in my heart.

We visited Woodstock School today and had a great time with the students and teachers. I spent some time in the journalism class, indian history class, and bible class. In the journalism class students interviewed us and asked some very personal questions. This of course involved some conversation of our faith in Christ. It's hard to put into words the feedback we received, but my impression was that many of the students have not accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts yet. The next class was indian history and then bible class. In bible class I again noticed the students' resistance to Christianity. I can only hope that through our actions and words some of the students witnessed Christ's love. Even if it was just shaking hands or saying hello I pray that God will open their hearts to His truth. And some of the joy I feel comes from acknowledging God's power and strength.

Joy is also the result of old and new friendships. A lot of us seniors have been extremely busy these past few months so this trip has been a great opportunity to catch up. Today a lot of us went shopping together in Bazzar. And shopping requires a lot of patience. All of us have been very agreeable which helps us grow closer, and this strengthens my faith each day. And the new friends we are making including those at Woodstock School are also contributing to my faith in God.

I can't speak for the others, but consider what I've witnessed from all the team members. I credit God for this unity amongst us, which I pray will continue. I trust Him to keep us united in our faith and to help others find Him.

I attend the Lutheran Church of the Nativity and we read Proverb 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths." The verse above is a description of God's power and love for His people, and I pray that every human being on earth will come to know Christ's love.

I am so blessed!

First, I was able to communicate with my parents last night, and that was so encouraging. Their faith in God to protect me is amazing. Please pray that God will continue to strengthen my parents and all the parents and families of our team.

Next, this team is amazing! Each team member has contributed in their own special way to the excitement of this trip! I thank you Lord for all of them. We can’t help but wish Camilla and her mom were with us. Still, we are preparing some surprises for them which we can’t wait for them to receive. Please pray that God will continue to heal Mrs. Deeter, and strengthen both her and Camilla.

Third, India is full of many exciting and enriching times including buckets in the shower, dinner at the Imperial Hotel, and the bus ride up at least 7,000 ft! And soooooooooo much more!!!! However, this trip has also caused some confusion in my heart. I don’t know how to react to the poverty I’ve encountered. I don’t know. What does God want me to see? What does He want me to learn from this? Please pray that God will open our hearts to His will. And I pray that everything I do, say, and think will honor Him.
